Saar

Verse & Reflection

Terms of Use

Last updated 18 May 2026

Welcome to Saar. These terms describe the small agreement between you and us when you use the app. We have tried to keep them short and honest. By installing or using Saar, you agree to what is written below.

1. What Saar is

Saar is a calm, daily ritual built around the Bhagavad Gita. The app offers one verse a day, a short reflection, a streak, gentle reminders, and a browseable library of all 700 verses. The experience is meant to support a personal contemplative practice, not to replace scholarly study, religious instruction, medical care, or professional advice of any kind.

2. Your account and data

Saar does not require an account. Your reading progress, favourites, streak, and preferences are kept on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, synced privately to your other Apple devices through Apple’s key‑value store. We do not run servers that hold your reading history.

3. Subscriptions

Some features are offered through an optional auto‑renewing subscription, billed by Apple through the App Store and managed on your behalf by RevenueCat.

4. Content and intellectual property

The Sanskrit verses of the Bhagavad Gita are an ancient public‑domain text. The Devanagari encoding and IAST transliteration shipped in the app were sourced from a publicly available open dataset (see the Open Source Licenses page for attribution).

The English translations, commentary, chapter summaries, design, illustrations, and code in Saar are original work and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to read, screenshot, and share individual verses for personal, non‑commercial use. Bulk reproduction, redistribution of the dataset, or use of Saar’s content to train machine‑learning models is not permitted without written permission.

5. Acceptable use

Please use Saar in the spirit it was built. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, reverse‑engineer it for commercial cloning, or use it in any way that would harm other readers or the app itself.

6. Disclaimers

Saar is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We make a genuine effort to keep the text accurate, but translations and commentary are interpretive by nature and may not reflect any particular tradition. Nothing in the app is a substitute for medical, psychological, legal, or religious counsel.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Saar. If we are found liable for anything, our total liability will not exceed the amount you have paid us in the previous twelve months.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally to reflect changes in the app or in the law. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Saar after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Contact

For questions about content or billing, write to us at support@arhmjn.com. For quiet suggestions and general thoughts, hello@arhmjn.com is the better address. We read every message.
